Ogden Police use drone to spot juveniles climbing on high school roof

OGDEN, Utah (ABC4) — Ogden Police used a drone to spot two juveniles climbing on the roof of an Ogden high school Sunday night.

At around 8:45 p.m. on Sept. 1, police responded to a call from a concerned citizen regarding two young people climbing onto the roof of Ben Lomond High School.

Officers responded, using their drone team to help find the individuals. Officers used the drone’s aerial view to confirm the young people were on the roof, pinpoint their exact location, and guide them down.

“Thanks to clear communication and the drone’s assistance, the juveniles were taken into custody without any issues,” Ogden Police stated on social media. “We’re grateful for the community’s vigilance and our team’s quick actions, which ensured a safe resolution.”
