WASHINGTON COUNTY, Utah (ABC4) — A truck became fully engulfed in flames on I-15 Sunday afternoon, causing a nearby grass fire, according to Utah Highway Patrol.
A Ford F-150 was heading northbound on I-15 near milepost 39 in Washington County, according to Cpl. Luis Silva, UHP.

The truck had experienced “unknown mechanical issues,” Silva said, and the driver pulled over. Both the driver and passenger were able to get out safely with no injuries.
The truck caught fire and became fully engulfed, catching nearby grass on fire. Two right lanes on I-15 were closed for around 20 minutes as crews worked the scene.
The fire has successfully been put out, Silva said.
